Companion Animal Hospital is a solo-practitioner animal hospital, allowing for the most consistent, individualized care for your pet. We have a complete, competent, trained staff. Take a moment to get to know the people working for your pet's health.

E. Lee Duke, D.V.M.
Dr. Duke graduated from the University of Georgia's School of Veterinary Medicine. From 1972 through 1974, he worked at Dale Mabry Animal Hospital (his colleagues have since established another fantastic high-tech hosptial, Florida Veterinary Specialists, the most advanced specialty practice in the state). He has been at Companion Animal Hospital since 1974. He was a veterinarian for our local Lowry Park Zoo for eight years, and was a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians since its founding, and actively participated as one of the first board members. A pioneer in laser surgery, Dr. Duke continues on the forefront of technology in animal care. Pets: two dogs, one cat, and more than 40 birds.

Rita Mouradian, Office Manager/Technician
Rita graduated from USF with a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations. She had been our receptionist and assistant since 1998, office manager and technician since 2003, and has a total of fifteen years experience in the veterinary field, some of which includes experience in emergency care. She completed the four-year Veterinary Technology magnet program at Tampa Bay Technical High School. Rita is currently working towards her admission to veterinary school.

Tiffanie Ivins-Ickes, Receptionist
Tiffanie has been with us for two years. She loves to work with all sorts of animals, including the wildlife that we rehabilitate. She's has a particular interest in dog behavior. Tiffanie has several dogs, cats, horses and a bird.

Tina Bush, Assistant
Tina is the morning veterinary assistant. She has been with our hospital for the past two years and is quickly adapting to this demanding field. Tina enjoys assisting Dr. Duke in surgery. Her attention to detail and courteous demeanor makes her an essential part of our team. Tina has 2 dogs, 3 birds, 2 snakes and an iguana.

Sara Claycomb, Assistant
Sara is the veterinary assistant. She has been with us for over 2 years. Her most important responsiblities include caring for all in-house animals and providing excellent care for our patients. Her dedication to her responsibilities and determination define the excellence we represent. Since joining our team Sara has adopted a three-legged dog and a cat who is blind in one eye.
